Well, where has the time gone? It seemed like just yesterday
that we embarked on this pizza tour with a custom machine and a dream. Summer has officially come and gone, letting the clouds give way and the cool winds to whisk through our hair. This marks the last trip we make with our pizza mobile. It's winter home - TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN. A fitting final journey for us, as the UW Badgers are set to butt heads with the Minnesota Golden Gophers.Nate, our go-to guy with the Gophers is giving us all the pointers we need to be successful today. When we were here last year, it was in the single digits, and hand warmers were necessary. This time though, it is 50 degrees and rainy. It's not stopping the droves of fans from coming to see us. Our bright graphics act like a beacon under the overcast skies! The rivalry between the two teams for Paul Bunyan's Axe is the oldest in college football history. "Better Dead than Red" and "Worst. State. Ever." are just a few of the printable slogans on t-shirts of the two student bodies. Before the 11:00am game time, we run through 9 cases. A narrow Badgers victory concludes our crazy trip.
It's been an amazing summer filled with fun, work, mystery, and a little danger. We hope you've enjoyed reading about our various travels. From the bottom of our hearts - thank you to all who helped us along the way. We hope to bring you more Palermo's adventures as we schedule them throughout the rest of 2009 and beyond.
