Pizza Spotlight: Primo Thin Grilled Chicken Caesar
Selected by Men's Health for their popular compendium of healthy yet tasty food "Eat This, Not That," the Grilled Chicken Caesar features our all-natural, ultra-thin crispy crust and is topped with grilled white-meat chicken in a spicy Caesar sauce. Then, we add a blend of Mozzarella, Parmesan and Romano cheeses, diced onion and a sprinkling of parsley and oregano. People are continually surprised by how good this pie tastes and how different it is from nearly every other frozen pizza. In this recent webisode "Quick Meals," company CEO Giacomo Fallucca calls it one of his favorites.

Men's Health And Palermo's Pizza
Men's Health: guys read it to learn how to get ripped abs, dress in the latest dude fashions and treat the ladies right. But they also read it to find out what to eat. That's why we're so happy that they continue to pick Palermos frozen pizza in a variety of features. First they selected our Primo Thin Grilled Chicken Ceasar for their "Eat This, Not That" series, running both in the magazine and in book form and raving about it's nutritional value saying, "Impressive numbers across the board, including the meager 24 grams of carbs, a result of the ultra thin crispy crust." Then it was our Primo Thin Special Edition Pepperoni, which they handed a 2008 Men's Health Nutrition Award and called "A zesty pizza with an ultra-thin crust that is far better than doughier brands."

Pizza Spotlight: The Napoli
Hearth Italia Napoli--Fresh Mozzarella & PestoNapoli is the Italian name for the historic city of Naples, a place of special importance to us at Palermo's, because it is where pizza was born. And here is our tribute to this great Italian city: The Napoli--an all-natural, hearth-baked artisan crust, Italian Tomato Sauce, with Whole Milk Mozzarella, fresh Mozzarella Pearlinni and Asiago cheeses and finished with Basil Pesto. We think the real Italian pizza chefs of Naples would be proud!

Here's a comparison. First, our pizza, which you can get at your local grocery store and enjoy in your home:

Next, here is a traditional pizza from Naples, one which you'll have to fly to Italy for:

Milwaukee Brewer All Star Corey Hart visits Palermo's
We were happy to welcome 2008 All-Star slugger Corey Hart to Villa Palermo's recently. He stopped by to take pictures and sign autographs for our employees and visitors alike. Palermo's is the sole provider of pizza to the Brewer's home, Miller Park. And the Brewers have an actual Palermos Pizza oven right in their locker room. With the team in good position to win the NL Central, we wish Corey and the rest of the Brewers good luck in the final weeks of the season. Bring home the division title guys, and be sure to enjoy some real Italian pizza while you're at it!

Pizza Spotlight: The Siena
Hearth Italia Siena--Italian Sausage

The beautiful Tuscan city of Siena is the home to a world famous horse race, the Palio di Siena, where thousands of spectators come to watch as representatives of the seventeen city wards challenge each other for civic pride. This historic event has been held annually since 1650 and forces competitors to ride bareback and without stirrips--but not to worry, should a rider fall off, his horse can still win on it's own!

It is in this spirit of excitement and tradition that we named our Siena. It features an all natural, hearth-baked artisan crust, which is then covered with an Italian Tomato Sauce, Whole Milk Mozzarella and Asiago cheese, and is topped-off with a combination of Crumbled and Sliced Italian Sausages finished with a hint of Oregano.

The Piazza del Campo, where the annual race takes place.

Men's Health 2008 Best Pizza: Primo Thin Special Edition Pepperoni
Award winning new classic.

You've had frozen pepperoni pizza before, sure, but not one like this. Palermos Primo Thin Special Edition Pepperoni is a peppy pie featuring an all-natural, ultra-thin crispy crust topped with whole milk Mozzarella cheese, sliced julienne pepperoni and a sprinkling of Parmesan and Romano cheeses. But it's the spicy tomato sauce that really gives this gourmet frozen pizza its personality. Try one and you'll agree, this is one special thin crust pizza. Men's Health magazine agrees, giving this pie a 2008 Nutrition Award and calling it, "A zesty pizza with an ultra-thin crust that is far better than doughier brands."

Pizza Spotlight: Primo Thin Italian Sausage
Not all Italian sausage pizza's are created equal. Palermos' take on this classic sets itself apart in the details: The crust is 100% all natural, ultra-thin and crispy. The tomato sauce has a rich, bold flavor. All this is then topped with Mozzarella, Provolone, Asiago, Parmesan and Romano cheeses, tomatoes, oregano, a sprinkling of basil and then of course, fresh Italian sausage. This may technically be considered a frozen aisle food, but once cooked, you'll swear it's a pizzeria pizza!

Neighbors In Need 2008 Update
As we've recently posted, Palermos Pizza is honored to be part of The McCormick Foundation's Neighbors In Need Campaign 2008 to raise money for victims of the recent flooding in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Missouri.

In partnership with several organizations across the Midwest, Palermos is donating a portion of the proceeds from sales in the affected states, and that donation is going even further than expected!

The Foundation is generously matching the first $1 million raised through the campaign at 50 cents on the dollar, and the Foundation and all its campaign partners are covering 100 percent of administrative costs, so that all funds raised, plus the match, will go to nonprofit agencies that are providing relief services in the five impacted states.

Together we can help families, neighbors and friends. If you'd like to help out yourself, please give what you can here.

Washington Post Names Palermo's Best Frozen Pizza
The national media is starting to realize what we at Palermo's have been saying for years: there are of-course bigger, more recognizable names in the premium frozen pizza isle, but none of them compare to taste and quality of Palermo's. Here's just the latest example of stunning, independent press we've been getting:

The Washington Post Food and Dining staff cooks up 15 frozen pizzas and picks the only Palermo's pizza they tried--the Primo Thin White Cheddar Cheese & Tomato--as their favorite, saying of it, "A crisp crust, glistening cheese and a nicely tangy sauce."

They're making me hungry.

Pizza Spotlight: Primo Thin Old World 6 Cheese
This pie has always seemed mysterious to me. Why does this pizza need SIX cheeses, when most others get by with just a few?

Mozzarella, Fontina, Provolone, Asiago, Parmesan, Romano. Really...do you need all of those?

Then I tried it. Now I understand.

It is a cheese showcase. It starts with a simple, elegant stage: tomatoes, oregano, basil on an all-natural thin crust. Then it's asks you not just to eat and enjoy, but to distinguish between the tastes of each individual cheese. Are you up to it? It's possible, but only if you don't just gobble it down right away. You need to savor and contemplate each bite, and if you do, the unique personality of each cheese will come out.

Try it--can you unlock the culinary mystery of the Primo Thin Old World 6 Cheese?
